SCIENTIFIC CLUBS
The Department of Physical and Economic Geography operates two student scientific clubs:
1. Student Scientific Club "Neo-Geo"
- Supervisor: Senior Lecturer Aizhan Shynybek
- Focus Area: Geography, Geoecology, Environmental Monitoring
- Objective: Engaging students in scientific research and conducting studies aimed at solving environmental problems.
- Main Activities:
- Lectures and masterclasses
- Environmental monitoring research
- Participation in scientific projects and publications
- Organizing scientific seminars and conferences
- Field research
2. Student Scientific Club "GIS Technology"
- Supervisor: Senior Lecturer, PhD Nurlybek Berdibekuly Zinabdin
- Focus Area: Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing
- Objective: In-depth study of GIS technologies, mastering cartography and spatial analysis methods.
- Main Activities:
- GIS training and courses
- Participation in scientific conferences and seminars
- Consulting students on working with GIS
- Research and practical application of GIS technologies
- Knowledge dissemination through the YouTube channel (GIS ENU)
