The Department of Physical and Economic Geography operates two student scientific clubs:

1. Student Scientific Club "Neo-Geo"

• Supervisor: Senior Lecturer Aizhan Shynybek
• Focus Area: Geography, Geoecology, Environmental Monitoring
• Objective: Engaging students in scientific research and conducting studies aimed at solving environmental problems.
• Main Activities:
  • Lectures and masterclasses
  • Environmental monitoring research
  • Participation in scientific projects and publications
  • Organizing scientific seminars and conferences
  • Field research

2. Student Scientific Club "GIS Technology"

• Supervisor: Senior Lecturer, PhD Nurlybek Berdibekuly Zinabdin
• Focus Area: Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing
• Objective: In-depth study of GIS technologies, mastering cartography and spatial analysis methods.
• Main Activities:
  • GIS training and courses
  • Participation in scientific conferences and seminars
  • Consulting students on working with GIS
  • Research and practical application of GIS technologies
  • Knowledge dissemination through the YouTube channel (GIS ENU)
