Educational (Student Development) Work Report for 2025–2026 Academic Year (Semester I)
The Department of Physical and Economic Geography operates 33 academic groups: 25 groups under the “Geography” educational program (Year 1: 7 Kazakh-language groups and 3 Russian-language groups), 10 bachelor’s groups under “Pedagogical Geography” (7 Kazakh-language and 3 Russian-language groups), and 4 master’s groups.
Group advisors (curators) and the senior curator were approved at a department meeting (Minutes No. 1). For Year 1 “Geography”, Karagoyshin Zh.M. and Mukanov E.N. were appointed as curators. For the “Training of Geography Teachers” track, Seraliyev A.B. was appointed as curator. A significant number of first-year students were accommodated in Dormitory No. 4.

During Semester I, educational (student development) activities were discussed at department meetings and implemented in accordance with the plan approved by the Dean. In addition to planned activities, group curators organized additional group meetings and advisory sessions. All planned activities for the reporting period were completed on schedule.

Dormitory discipline and duty shifts
A duty roster was approved for Student Residence No. 2 (11–16 Nov 2024). No violations of law or dormitory rules were recorded during scheduled or unscheduled duty shifts. Duty curators held preventive conversations with students and collected feedback on everyday and social issues.
Conclusion
The department’s educational (student development) work was fully implemented according to the approved plan. Minutes and reports of advisory sessions were compiled and archived; information is regularly published on the department’s official communication platforms.

Annual Report on Educational and Social Activities of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography for the 2023-2024 Academic Year
The Department of Physical and Economic Geography consists of 33 academic groups: 25 groups in Geography (1st-year: 7 Kazakh-medium, 3 Russian-medium), 8 groups in Hydrology (4 Kazakh-medium, 4 Russian-medium), and 10 groups in Pedagogical Geography (7 Kazakh-medium, 3 Russian-medium). Additionally, there are 5 master's groups.
The curators of each group, as well as the senior curator, were approved at a departmental meeting (Protocol No. 1). The first-year curators are: A. Aralbekova, J. Ozgeldinova, S. Toksanbayeva, G. Ospanova, K. Saparov, A. Ayapbekova, E. Shulgaubaev, and A. Sansyzbayeva.
The plan for educational and social activities for the 2023-2024 academic year was discussed and approved at a departmental meeting. During the first semester, each group carried out its assigned activities. The plan included key goals and multiple directions for student development.

- Educational hour on "The Religious Foundation of the Nation – Traditional Islam."
- Visit to a theatrical performance as part of the "Theater Journey" initiative.

- Participation of the department’s students in the University-wide Sports Tournament.

Conclusion
Throughout the academic year, the department’s educational and social activities were fully carried out according to the approved plan. Educational activities of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography for the 2022-2023 academic year
The Department of Physical and Economic Geography has 33 bachelor's and master's groups. The curator of each group, as well as the senior curator, were approved at the meeting of the department (Protocol 1). The curators of the first year were approved: Musabayeva M. N., Daribai T. O., Asylbekov K. M., Zinabdin Nurlybek, Zhanguzhina A. A., Yerzhanova J. S. The peculiarity of the first year of this year is that the number of students is more than in the last academic year. Most of them are housed in two dormitories. The plan of educational work for the 2022-2023 academic years was discussed and approved at the next meeting of the department.
During the first academic semester, each group performed its assigned activities. The plan showed the work in several areas of education and the main goals of comprehensive education of students. The curators of the group, together with the events specified in the plan, held unscheduled group meetings and educational hours.
The Department of Physical and Economic Geography held a solemn event to enroll students in the educational programs "Earth Science" and "Training of geography teachers".The event took place on November 9, 2022. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty N.L. Shapekova, all students and faculty of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography, as well as graduates of this department. This academic year, a record number of students enrolled: Cipher geography - 125, hydrology-training geography teachers (272 people). The purpose of the event: to get acquainted with teaching staff and senior students.
The social and educational work of the department was carried out. The curators of the group conducted a semi-annual report on educational activities. According to the developed plan, all activities were carried out on time. The following events were held in six months:
1. Familiarization of first-year students with the charter of the university, the technology of education, the order of residence in the dormitory and other rules on 08/29/12 (119 aud.)
2. The decade of adaptation of freshmen. The curators of the group presented the library and educational facilities. I familiarized myself with recreation areas, sports grounds of the city, went for a walk. Curators Mashtaeva Sh. I. and Kurmangazy Yersin.

4. On November 8 of this year, students of academic groups Gs-11, Gs-13, together with curator Saginov K. M. and senior curator Arykbaeva K. M. visited the museum and memorial complex of victims of political repression and totalitarianism "ALGIERS". 11. At the World Cup, Kamilla Daniyarova, a student of Gg-25 Amanzholova Aruzhan gid-21, became the champion in five Assik competitions in the city of Constanta. The photo is shown.
12 The duty schedule of teachers of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography in the House of Students No. 2 was approved from 9.11 to 11/30/12. in the second semester from February 15 to 28. The police were present on scheduled and unscheduled duties, there were no offenses or violations of order during the duty. During the holidays, curatorial hours were held about the activities of students.
13. The curator of the group Gg-11 Musabayeva M. N. on 12/14/2022 held a curatorial educational hour "In memory of the victims of December", dedicated to the 31st anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
14. On 15.20.01.2023, at the EXPO International Exhibition Center, 4th year students visited the Energy Museum under the guidance of Ayapbekova A. E. Familiarization with novelties, technologies of wind, sun, space, water, biomass, kinetic energy. Familiarization with modern means of communication, engineering networks and convenient access roads in the exhibition pavilion. Getting to know transformable halls.

17. Teaching staff and the student staff of the department celebrated the Korisu holiday on 03/14/2023, glorifying the traditions of the national rite-betrothal, putting on earrings, suiinshi, korisu. On the eve of Nauryz holiday on March 20, curator Inkarova J. I. group Gg-31 "Welcome, Nauryz!" held an educational hour.
The purpose is to introduce students to the traditions and customs of the Kazakh people, honoring national dishes, parables, based on folk pedagogy.
The teaching staff of the department and students actively participated in the events of the university, faculty, and department.
Two events at the faculty level, 8 events at the department, as well as in order to familiarize themselves with the cultural heritage, they visited the museum of Astana, the theater, the museum and memorial complex of Algeria.
Two students of the department became winners in international competitions.
