Teaching Practice
The teaching practice of master’s and doctoral students is an integral part of professional training, aimed at developing the competencies necessary for successful pedagogical and methodological activities in the system of higher education.
For master's degree students of the following programs:
- 7M05301 – "Applied Chemistry"
- 7M01512 – "Chemistry"
- 7M05306 – "Physical Chemistry"
-7M05307 – "Organic Substances Chemistry and Petrochemistry"
the teaching practice lasts 15 weeks and is worth 4 credits.
For doctoral students of the program:
- 8D05306 – "Chemistry"
the teaching practice lasts 10 weeks and is worth 10 credits.
The aim of the teaching practice is to provide master’s and doctoral students with the opportunity to master the basics of teaching, develop methodological skills, and build the communicative and professional competencies necessary for effective work in the system of higher and vocational education.
Teaching practice is a crucial stage in the training of future educators and researchers. During the practice, students deepen their knowledge in the fields of pedagogy and psychology of higher education, master teaching methods of chemical disciplines, and learn how to adapt educational materials to different levels of student preparation. They also gain experience in developing and delivering lectures, practical and laboratory classes, and seminars, while improving their communication skills with students, colleagues, and the administration. Throughout the practice, future professionals become familiar with academic documentation, assessment tools, and knowledge evaluation methods. The experience of teaching in a university setting strengthens students' confidence and supports their employment prospects in education and science.
Thus, teaching practice serves as an important platform for professional development, enabling students to apply their knowledge in practice and prepare for future academic and teaching careers.
