Accreditation
Accreditation is a process that evaluates the educational programs and resources of a university to ensure they meet certain standards. Accreditation bodies, such as regional and national accreditation agencies, assess the university's academic offerings, faculty qualifications, and support services. The goal of accreditation is to help universities provide students with a high-quality education that prepares them for successful careers. The educational programs of the Chemistry Department are accredited in the following organizations: Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR), Kazakhstan Association for Modern (Elite) Education (KAZSEE). The affiliation of the IAAR and KazSEE agencies with international organizations in the field of quality assurance in higher education, such as EQAR, ENQA and others, ensures the recognition of accredited educational programs and diplomas on their graduation in the international space, including Europe and the USA.
KAZSEE is an ENQA Affiliate. The purpose of KAZSEE is to promote the improvement and development of engineering education and engineering activities in Kazakhstan and other countries in all their manifestations related to educational, scientific, innovative, and technological areas, including teaching processes, and accreditation of educational programs. The Association works on the development of international relations and contacts in the field of engineering education, promotes the integration of Kazakhstan scientists, teachers of technical higher educational institutions and certified engineers into the international scientific and educational space; and also contributes to the continuous improvement of the quality of engineering education to meet international standards. The emphasis in the accreditation activities of KAZSEE is engineering and technical programs with the awarding of the EUR-ACE Label. However, the KAZSEE Statutes allows accreditation of all specialties.
INDEPENDENT AGENCY FOR ACCREDITATION AND RATING (IAAR) is a leading international accreditation agency for the quality assurance of education founded in 2011.
IAAR is registered in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education EQAR and is a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education ENQA.
