Catalog of additional educational programs Minor
The additional educational program (Minor) was introduced into the educational programs of ENU in 2020 and is implemented in the 6th semester with a total workload of 15 credits. The Minor program represents a set of courses and/or modules, as well as other types of academic activities, independently selected by students with the aim of developing additional professional competencies. The development of Minor cycle courses was carried out based on the analysis of the implementation of educational programs since 2019, taking into account the academic and research potential of departments, regional labor market demands, the need for specialists in the relevant fields, as well as feedback from employers and students. Third-year students, when forming their individual learning trajectories, have the opportunity to replace courses from their major educational program with courses from an additional educational program (Minor) offered by all faculties of ENU. A separate Catalog of Elective Disciplines (CED) is developed for each Minor program.
For the 2026 admission, the Department of Chemistry offers the course “Green Chemistry”, the aim of which is to develop students’ systematic and holistic understanding of the principles of green chemistry as a modern field of chemical science focused on reducing the negative impact of chemical processes and products on the environment and human health.
