Pedagogical Mentorship is a type of educational work with young teachers who have little experience in pedagogical activities in educational institutions.
The goal of mentorship in the education system is to directly influence the developing personality, guiding it toward education, active socialization, productive development, and social adaptation by transferring experience from mentor to mentee.
The object of mentorship is the process of knowledge and experience transfer itself, while the subjects are the mentors and mentees.
The main tasks of pedagogical mentorship include:
- Instilling an interest in pedagogical activities among young teachers;
- Accelerating the process of professional development of young teachers and fostering their ability to independently and effectively fulfill their assigned duties;
- Adapting to the corporate culture, adopting the best traditions of the department’s team, learning behavioral norms, and developing a conscious and creative approach to teaching responsibilities.
