General information about undergraduate teaching practice
In the period from 01/15/2024 to 03/23/2024, students of the 3rd year of the bachelor's degree undergo pedagogical practice: GOP: B050 – Biological and related sciences OP 6B05101 – Plant biotechnology and microbiology – 37 people, OP 6B05102 – Animal biotechnology and bioinformatics – 35 people.
The Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology organized an introductory conference on the organization of pedagogical practice for students of the 3rd year of study in urban schools in Astana.
The internship is carried out in accordance with the work program of the pedagogical practice and on the basis of the internship plan developed and agreed upon by each supervisor.
3rd year students undergo pedagogical practice at schools in Astana under bilateral agreements (concluded in 2021) – 72 people:
1. "Gymnasium School No. 22" of the Akimat of Astana - 27 people.
2. "Lyceum School No. 54 named after Akseleu Seidimbek" of the akimat of Astana – 46 people.

A schedule for teaching practice was prepared with all schools 2-3 months before the start of practice, and financial documents are being collected for paying school staff in Astana.
Familiarization classes were held at schools by the staff, as well as students took 7-day safety courses. Students have been sent personal schedules-schedules for conducting school classes within the framework of pedagogical practice. Interns have been added to the school's whatsapp chats.
During the internship period, students conduct classes in schools on the subject of biology from grades 6 to 10, and also conduct class hours 1 time a week. Interns participate in various city competitions and conferences, in preparing students for competitions, conferences, Olympiads and round tables. They actively participated in the school competition "Zerde".
As a result of pedagogical practice, students acquire pedagogical skills of conducting lessons in schools, consolidate knowledge of school curricula of biology disciplines. Upon completion, the interns will submit reports and diaries to the heads of practices in schools and at the department. The grades received by students for defending reports to the heads of practices will be put up in Platonus.
General information about the Bachelor's degree work practice
In the period from 01/15/2024 to 02/24/2024, the 4th year of the bachelor's degree is undergoing industrial practice: OP "6B05101 – Plant biotechnology and microbiology" - 42 people, OP "6B05102 – Animal biotechnology and bioinformatics" - 18 people.
The Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology organized an introductory conference on the organization of practical training for 4th year students.
The internship is carried out in accordance with the work program of the internship and on the basis of the internship plan developed and agreed upon by each supervisor.

In the period of 15.01.2024 - 06.04.2024 2nd year undergraduates undergo research practice: OP 7M05103 - Molecular biotechnology and Biomedicine – 31 undergraduates, OP 7M05104 – General and Applied Biotechnology – 19 undergraduates (total 50 undergraduates).
Before the practice, the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology organized a meeting on the completion of the research practice of undergraduates of the 2nd year of study offline.
The internship is carried out in accordance with the work program of the research practice and on the basis of the internship plan developed and agreed upon by each supervisor.
Out of 26 undergraduates of 2 educational programs:

On April 10, 2023, an online meeting was held at the Faculty of Natural Sciences on the issues of the procedure, conditions and deadlines for sending graduates to work, granting the right to self-employment, exemption from duty or termination of the obligation to work out graduates of 2023 who studied on the basis of a state educational order, which are regulated by the Rules approved by the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 30 March 2012, No. 390. The online meeting was held with the participation of the Dean of the Faculty J.G. Berdenova, chief specialists of the Department of Career and business partnership Z.Zh.Tuspekova, G.R.Smagulova, responsible teachers for employment at the faculty and departments, as well as students of graduate courses of master's and doctoral studies.

The above-mentioned organizations were interested in graduates of the following specialties: biology, biotechnology, chemistry, geography, ecology, hydrology. Representatives of the invited organizations thanked the management of the university and the faculty for organizing the events and expressed their readiness for further cooperation.
On June 1, 2023 at 11.30 am at the Faculty of Natural Sciences online on the MS Teams platform, under the leadership of the dean of the Faculty Berdenov Zh.G. and those responsible for the employment of the faculty and departments, a "Personal distribution of graduates-2023" was held. The event was attended by the chief specialists of the Career and Business Partnership department Z.Zh.Tuspekova, G.R.Smagulova and the Chairman of the Association of Practicing Ecologists of Kazakhstan Malikova L.A., as well as students of graduate courses of the Master's and doctoral studies of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. At the time of distribution of the application to research institutes and higher educational institutions, all doctoral students of the faculty provided, with the exception of those with children under 3 years old. Graduates of the grant who have not submitted an application will be sent to the State Institution "Employment Center" of any city at the request of the graduate for registration as unemployed.
In the specialty 6M070100- Biotechnology, graduates provided certificates from their place of work and petitions. Graduates with children under 3 years of age hand over birth certificates of children, pregnant women receive medical certificates from the VCC for exemption from working out.
Graduates sent by mail completed receipts confirming receipt of a referral to work and to the employment center, as well as the obligation of the young specialist to the attorney agent of the authorized body in the field of education of JSC "Financial Center" of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the L.N.Gumilev Eurasian National University. According to the collected documents, the minutes of the meeting of the personal distribution of graduates were drawn up.
Communication with employers is a necessary link in the quality training of specialists. One of the types of interaction with companies is holding joint seminars on topical issues of science and production 1-2 times a year.
The participant of this event, as an employer, the Chairman of the Association of Practicing Environmentalists of Kazakhstan, L.A. Malikova, demonstrated a presentation on the activities of the organization.
The Association is engaged in the qualification and employment of biotechnologists, assists in the development, coordination and implementation of sustainable development programs, conducts seminars, conferences, meetings, exhibitions, including international events independently and jointly with government agencies and other organizations.
The documents were submitted to the financial center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Information on the distribution of graduates in 2023 is given in Tables 1 and 2.
It should be noted that QS Quacquarelli Symonds, a global analyst in the field of higher education, conducted its annual detailed study of the relationship between university choice and graduate employment outcomes.
