ENU Hosted the 6th Astana City Young Geologists Olympiad

On March 14, 2026, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, together with the corporate foundation “Zhas Geolog,” organized the 6th Astana City Young Geologists Olympiad for 10th–11th grade students of general education schools in Astana.

The Olympiad aimed to increase students’ interest in Earth Sciences and to deepen their knowledge in geology, geography, and the natural sciences. During the event, participants not only demonstrated their knowledge but also became acquainted with current trends in the field of Earth Sciences.

As part of the Olympiad, school students showed interest in the institute’s educational programs related to Earth Sciences and received additional information about academic pathways connected with the профильные subjects of geography and mathematics.

Such events contribute to students’ career guidance, broaden their scientific outlook, and help them make informed decisions about their future profession.
